Where Real Research Meets Real Life

There's no shortage of advice about what you should be doing during pregnancy and motherhood. How to prepare for birth, feed your baby, support their sleep and development, care for your body, and somehow take care of yourself, too.

Some of that advice is backed by excellent research. Some of it isn't. And even when the recommendations are sound, figuring out how to put them all into practice can feel impossible. Especially when every expert seems to focus on one little piece of the puzzle, leaving you to figure out how it all fits together. It's exhausting to feel like you're doing your best and still falling short somewhere.

But you aren't a collection of separate problems to solve, and neither is your baby. Your body, your relationship, your family, your resources, and your daily realities are all connected. That's why I bring together education and experience across birth, movement, feeding, babywearing, infant development, and neuroscience. I look at the whole picture, drawing on research, best practices, and what I've learned through years of supporting families and navigating motherhood myself. Not to give you more rules to follow, but to help you understand what matters, why it matters, and how to make it work within your own circumstances, goals, and values.

That's what A Mother's Compass is here for. A place to bring your questions, sort through the conflicting “shoulds,” connect the dots, and find practical, down-to-earth guidance that actually makes sense for your life.

You don't need another impossible standard to live up to. You need good information, thoughtful support, and the confidence to find your own way.
