Personalized babywearing support

How can I help?

I’m pregnant and haven’t bought a baby carrier yet.

I have a carrier and I need help!

My baby is growing and things have changed…

A woman and a man are holding a baby together inside a room. The woman is wearing a beige shirt and has her hair in a braid. The man is wearing a blue shirt and a watch. There is a crib with a colorful blanket and a gray sofa in the room, with curtains and a wall hanging featuring animals in the background.

It’s so much more than being “hands-free”…

A consultation with a certified babywearing educator (like me!) can help with so many of the common challenges families encounter during the first few years of life, including:

  • Reflux

  • Milk supply and infant weight gain

  • State, sensory, temperature, and nervous system regulation

  • Sleep & circadian rhythm development

  • Torticollis and low tone

  • Attachment and bonding

  • Postpartum mood disorders

  • Healthy hip development

  • Proprioception and physical development

  • Physical comfort (and/or birth recovery) of the caregiver

  • And more!

  • “Elise was so kind and knowledgeable - I would recommend a session with her, especially for new parents! We had several expensive baby carriers mostly just sitting around because we lacked the knowledge and confidence to get good use out of them. Now that’s no longer the case.”

    – Maggie K., first-time twin parent

  • "I have always loved carrying my babies but I had no idea just how important it is to have a carrier that fits you and your baby and one that you LOVE! I truly believe it is NECESSARY to have a consult and learn how to wear your baby and find a carrier that fits you both! Wearing your baby will significantly change your parenthood journey (for moms AND dads)!"

—Ashley M., military mom of 2

  • "Even after the consultation ended, Elise's support continued. She shared helpful resources, recommended online communities, and offered her assistance if I ever needed further guidance. Her commitment to helping parents succeed in their baby wearing journey was truly remarkable."

—Marian G., virtual client with 5 mo baby

  • "Being able to do the things I want to do has helped me to feel like myself and maintain a sense of individuality, while knowing that I’m providing care and comfort to my baby. I don’t think I’ve been this happy since before my first pregnancy, honestly. It has been an absolute game changer for me, and I cannot thank you enough!"

    —Cat R., mom of 3

About Elise

I’m a certified babywearing consultant trained through the Center for Babywearing Studies, where I’ve completed extensive, evidence-based training and continue to stay deeply involved in advancing babywearing education.

My work is shaped not just by training, but by years of supporting families in real life as a postpartum doula, nanny, and perinatal fitness professional. I’ve worked with parents in those early, often overwhelming days, helping them find what actually works for their bodies, their babies, and their lives.

And I’ve lived it, too.

I’ve worn my own children through the newborn stage and beyond, learning firsthand how powerful (and sometimes frustrating) babywearing can be without the right support.

All of this comes together in the way I work: practical, personalized, and grounded in both science and lived experience so you can feel confident, capable, and supported every step of the way.

When I’m not teaching parents to wrap, tie, and buckle, you can find me walking my dogs and kids around my hometown of Grinnell, Iowa (usually with a kid in a carrier still!) and enjoying a good fantasy book when I finally get to sit down!
