Therapeutic Babywearing Consultation
When your baby has additional needs (or carrying just doesn't seem to work the way everyone says it should) standard babywearing advice may not be enough.
Maybe your baby has reflux symptoms and struggles to settle comfortably. Maybe they seem unusually sensitive to positioning, become distressed in carriers, or have differences in muscle tone, movement, or physical development. Perhaps you're navigating feeding challenges, medical considerations, or your own physical limitations and wondering whether babywearing is even an option.
You deserve more than being told to just tighten the straps and try again.
This extended consultation offers individualized babywearing education for families navigating more complex physical, developmental, or sensory needs.
Together, we can:
Explore your baby's comfort, movement, positioning preferences, and responses to being carried.
Identify carrier styles and adjustments that may better accommodate your baby's individual needs.
Consider positioning and support for babies with reflux symptoms, feeding difficulties, sensory sensitivities, or developmental differences.
Adapt carrying techniques around your own mobility, comfort, recovery, or physical limitations.
Work through challenges with crying, settling, or tolerating a carrier at your baby's pace.
Discuss how carrying can support closeness, responsive caregiving, and participation in everyday family life.
Identify when collaboration with your baby's pediatrician, physical therapist, occupational therapist, feeding specialist, or another healthcare professional would be helpful.
The goal isn't to make your baby fit a particular carrier. It's to explore whether we can find a safe, comfortable way of carrying that fits your baby.
You'll leave with individualized recommendations, practical techniques to try, and a clearer understanding of your options…even if the best next step is a different carrier, additional professional support, or waiting until your baby is ready.
This is specialized babywearing education, not medical assessment or treatment. Babywearing does not treat reflux or developmental conditions, and recommendations are adapted to your baby's individual needs and any guidance from their healthcare team.
